Tourist Attractions Near Ishadhara Wellness

COURTRALLAM WATER FALLS

Courtallam is famous for its waterfalls on the Western Ghats. With captivating panoramic vistas, this lovely waterfall is what one need to heed to escape from the scorching sun. It has nine waterfalls in the region that add a charm to its exotic beauty. The individual waterfalls are old falls, main falls, tiger falls and five falls. It is one hour drive from ishadhara wellness.

AGASTHIYAR FALLS

Agasthiyar falls is located close to papanasam in thirunelveli district and is located on the foot hills of western ghats. This fall is located almost 70 km from our centre.

KASI VISWANATHAR TEMPLE, THENKASI

This holy shrine of lord shiva is considered to be the south kasi and this temple is in the foothills of pothigai malai. This temple is famous for its amazing sculptures and scriptures in walls. Drive to this place in 40 mins from ishadhara wellness centre.

THORANAMALAI MURUGAN KOVIL

This is a Murugan temple which is at the hilltop. Trek to this place to reach the hilltop to see the beautiful cave where the statue of lord Murugan is placed. The beautiful scenic view around the hill attracts the people to this place. This hill is surrounded by different types of herbal plants and natural water springs.

MANIMUTTHAR DAM

This dam is located in the foothills of pothigai. It is built on tamirabarani river. The area features marvellous natural beauty. This dam offers a breath-taking view and the tourist can bath here and soak in the beauty of nature. It is almost 80 km from the centre.

SRIVILLIPUTHUR TEMPLE

The temple is built in the Dravidian style of architecture. It is one of the Divya Desam dedicated to Vishnu and Andal. The Raja gopuram of this temple is the emblem of the state Tamil Nadu. This is one of the ancient temples in the Tamil Nadu.

MANJOLAI

Manjolai is situated 1160 m above sea level, this hill remains unexplored region with a mystical beauty. The scenic location set deep into the dense woods of Western Ghat Ranges. Trekking is suggested to this hill for exploring into the wood. 3hrs drive from our wellness retreat.

MEKKARAI

Mekkarai is the beautiful village bordering Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mekkarai is a tranquil spot for small treks surrounded with lush greenery scenic spot. This beautiful landscape is situated around 40 km from the wellness centre.

KALLAKAD MUNDANTHURAI TIGER RESERVE

This tiger reserve is a eco-tourism located in the biosphere of agasthiyamalai. This is one of the largest tiger reserves in Tamil Nadu. This tiger reserve is under consideration by the UNESCO for the World Heritage Site.
