Our team is happy to guide you towards the right programme for your health goals. No commitment required — just a conversation.
General
Can I come one day prior to my admission day?
We generally advise our patients to arrive on the day of their admission and not before, except under travel compulsion. In such cases, please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements and avoid any inconvenience due to room unavailability.
How do I submit my medical reports before arriving?
You may submit scanned copies of your recent reports online along with your application form. Our website supports a maximum upload size of 4MB at a time. For larger files, please email them directly to ishadharawellness@gmail.com. Early submission helps our doctors prepare your personalised treatment plan before you arrive.
How can naturopathy cure diseases without medicines?
The human body is one of nature’s greatest marvels — it carries an innate capacity to fight disease on its own. Unfortunately, most people reach for medication the moment symptoms appear, which can suppress immunity and cause side effects rather than addressing root causes.
At Ishadhara, we teach patients how to prevent and treat diseases naturally by activating the body’s self-healing mechanisms through therapeutic diet, hydrotherapy, yoga, and lifestyle correction. Nature cure doesn’t suppress symptoms — it removes the conditions that create disease in the first place.
Is there a dress code at Ishadhara Wellness?
There is no strict dress code. However, we advise guests to bring comfortable cotton clothing, a pair of walking shoes, socks, and track-suits suitable for morning walks, yoga sessions, and outdoor activities. Light, breathable fabrics work best in our tropical campus environment.
Is Wi-Fi available at the centre?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available at Ishadhara Wellness. That said, we gently encourage guests to limit screen time during their stay — a digital detox alongside your physical detox significantly enhances healing outcomes, reduces cortisol levels, and allows the nervous system to fully recover.
What is the daily schedule like for a patient at Ishadhara?
Your day begins with a morning walk at 5:00 AM and you remain engaged with therapies, yoga, meals, consultations, and wellness activities until around 9:30 PM. A typical day includes:
- 5:00 AM – Morning walk & pranayama
- 7:00 AM – Yoga / therapeutic exercises
- 9:00 AM – Breakfast (therapeutic diet)
- 10:00–12:00 PM – Hydrotherapy / treatment sessions
- 1:00 PM – Lunch
- 3:00–5:00 PM – Therapies / doctor consultation
- 6:30 PM – Light dinner
- 8:00–9:30 PM – Meditation / evening session
Your ward doctor can provide a fully customised schedule based on your treatment plan.
Why does Ishadhara not offer outpatient facilities?
In naturopathy, healing requires the patient to stay on campus and follow a strict daily routine — including therapeutic diet, Kriya, Yogasana, hydrotherapy, and nature immersion. Simply attending a few treatment sessions, as you would at a health club or spa, will not produce meaningful results.
Outpatient care fragments the healing process. Our immersive inpatient model exists because genuine transformation requires a complete change of environment, routine, and food — all at once.
Reservation & Booking
How far in advance should I book my accommodation at Ishadhara?
Due to high demand, we advise booking at least 1–2 months in advance and waiting for a formal confirmation from our Reservation team. Please consider your booking confirmed only when you receive an official confirmation letter or email from Ishadhara. Last-minute bookings are subject to availability.
How do I check the status of my application?
You may call our help desk at +91 84894 89943 or +91 82209 12307, or send an email to ishadharawellness@gmail.com to enquire about your application status. Please keep your application reference number handy when reaching out.
Should I inform you of my arrival date and time in advance?
Yes, please do inform us in advance. This allows our team to prepare your room, dietary plan, and treatment schedule before you arrive. You may also mention any special needs at this stage, and we will make every effort to accommodate them. Early intimation ensures you have a smooth, seamless start to your healing journey.
Can I change the duration of my stay before I arrive?
Yes, you may request a change in duration via email or our website. However, changes can be made a maximum of 3 times, and any change request must be submitted at least 3 days before your confirmed admission date. Extensions are granted subject to availability. Please plan carefully, as frequent changes affect other patients on the waitlist.
How do you acknowledge payments? How do I confirm my payment was received?
We acknowledge all receipts on our portal. You can also confirm payment receipt by calling our Help Desk at +91 84894 89943. Please retain your payment reference or transaction ID for easy verification. We recommend making payments via the official payment channels shared in your booking confirmation.
What is your refund policy? Do you refund forfeited amounts for medical reasons?
If a guest does not report for admission without prior intimation, the reserved accommodation cannot be released to other patients on the waitlist, resulting in financial loss for the centre. However, for certain cases — such as genuine medical emergencies or bereavement — deposits may be refunded fully or partially depending on the merits of the case. Please contact us as early as possible if circumstances change.
Why are changes to booking dates not allowed liberally?
Requests for postponement or advancement are allowed for a maximum of two times. Beyond this, admissions may be refused, as excessive date changes make accommodation planning unpredictable and are unfair to other patients on the waitlist. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us serve everyone equitably.
Why might I sometimes be placed in an alternative room despite a confirmed booking?
Occasionally, a guest already staying with us needs to extend their stay for medical reasons, and we are obliged to accommodate them. In such cases, we may offer an upgraded room at no extra charge, or temporarily request you to use a slightly lower category room — in which case you will only be billed at the lower rate. We are grateful for your compassion and understanding in such situations.
Treatment
Why are conventional medicines not allowed at Ishadhara, even if I am used to taking them?
Our centre believes the human body has sufficient capacity to fight diseases from within. In nature cure, medicine from any source — allopathy, homeopathy, or otherwise — is typically not required. Drugs have numerous side effects that interfere with the benefits of naturopathic treatment.
However, if you are regularly taking medications, you must disclose them to our doctors upon arrival. Depending on your health condition, your treating doctor will guide a gradual tapering process. Medicines found to be non-essential will be held at the Security gate and made available in case of emergency. Please do not stop any medication abruptly without medical guidance.
I am nervous about fasting. Is it absolutely necessary during naturopathy treatment?
Fasting is a constructive, medically supervised process — not starvation. Starvation is destructive and deprives the body of nutrients; therapeutic fasting is the opposite. It gives the body’s digestive system a rest, allowing it to redirect energy towards deep cellular cleansing and repair.
From Day 3 onwards, the body efficiently uses stored fat for energy — each gram of fat yields approximately 9 calories. Scientific fasting actually makes most people feel lighter, more energised, and mentally clearer. Our dietitian and doctors monitor you closely throughout, adjusting the protocol based on your individual response.
How long does it take to detoxify the body? How long does it take to treat a chronic disease?
For guests without severe chronic conditions, 10 days is typically sufficient to detoxify the system. For chronic diseases, the duration depends on the condition’s severity, the patient’s vitality, and how long the disease has been present. Generally:
- Basic detox / preventive reset: 5–10 days
- Moderate chronic conditions: 15–21 days
- Severe or long-standing conditions: 21–40 days
Nature cure is not a miracle — it is a scientific process. Chronic diseases develop over years and require adequate time to heal. Rushing the process produces incomplete results.
Why are children below 18 years generally not admitted?
Naturopathy requires firm discipline, lifestyle commitment, and conscious participation — qualities that are generally not consistent in young children. However, for children suffering from conditions treatable by naturopathy, we may relax the age limit to 16 years, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian and their case has been cleared by our doctors in advance.Naturopathy requires firm discipline, lifestyle commitment, and conscious participation — qualities that are generally not consistent in young children. Is naturopathy treatment expensive? Is it only for the wealthy?
Not at all. Naturopathy is one of the most affordable treatments for chronic diseases. In fact, many nature cure practices can be adopted at home at virtually no cost, once you have the knowledge. At Ishadhara, accommodation options include economy and standard rooms accessible to all cross-sections of society. Most treatments and the therapeutic diet are included in the package fee — making the total cost significantly lower than prolonged drug-based treatment. View our packages →
Diet & Nutrition
Why is diet so strictly controlled at Ishadhara?
In naturopathy, food is medicine — and like medicine, its quality, timing, and composition directly affect healing outcomes. A strictly controlled therapeutic diet is the cornerstone of every treatment. Without dietary discipline, all other treatments — hydrotherapy, yoga, massage — will have limited effect.
All policies at Ishadhara are designed in the best interest of the patient. The strictness is not about restriction for its own sake — it is about giving your body the precise nutritional environment it needs to heal.
Why are tea, coffee, alcohol, and smoking stopped abruptly — not gradually?
Tea, coffee, alcohol, and tobacco are addictive substances that damage health over time and significantly interfere with the progress of naturopathy treatments. Because our campus is a healing sanctuary, these are completely prohibited on the grounds. The abrupt cessation, though initially uncomfortable for some guests, is part of the detoxification process and is supported by our therapies and dietary protocols which ease withdrawal symptoms.
Do you teach patients how to prepare healthy food at home?
Yes! Our Dietitians conduct live food preparation demonstrations twice a week — covering therapeutic juices, raw salads, sprouts, and other naturopathic meal preparations. The goal is to equip every guest with the practical knowledge to continue healthy eating at home after discharge. You will leave Ishadhara not just healed, but educated about the food choices that sustain that healing.
Does Ishadhara grow its own organic produce?
Yes. The institute maintains a farm of 100 acres where seasonal fruits and vegetables are cultivated organically. Vegetables include carrots, cabbage, knol-khol, cucumber, all varieties of gourds, leafy greens, salad leaves, and herbs. Fruits such as lemon, mosambi, papaya, banana, tender coconut, avocado, grapefruit, sapota, mango, and guava are grown abundantly. This ensures that everything you eat during your stay is fresh, chemical-free, and grown with healing intent.
Why is breakfast not given during detoxification?
According to naturopathic principles, the human body follows three processes — elimination, rejuvenation, and construction. The morning is the body’s elimination phase — a time to cleanse, purify, and expel accumulated waste and toxins.
Consuming food during this elimination phase disrupts the body’s natural cleansing activity and diverts energy away from detoxification to digestion. Skipping breakfast during the detox phase is therefore a deliberate therapeutic strategy, not a deprivation — it allows the body to complete its natural morning cleanse fully and efficiently.
What kind of food is served at Ishadhara Wellness Retreat?
At Ishadhara, food is considered the most powerful form of medicine. We serve precision therapeutic nutrition — meals scientifically designed based on your health condition and treatment goals. The diet is primarily plant-based, whole-food, and prepared using naturopathic principles: minimal processing, seasonal produce, zero refined sugar, and no packaged ingredients. For diabetes guests, meals are glycaemic-load optimised; for detox guests, a semi-fasting therapeutic diet is prescribed. Explore our food philosophy →

Safety, Eligibility & After Care
Is naturopathy safe? Are there any side effects?
Naturopathy is inherently gentle and non-invasive — it uses food, water, movement, and natural therapies to restore health. At Ishadhara, all treatments are prescribed by qualified doctors after a thorough health assessment. Some guests experience mild healing reactions — slight fatigue or mild headaches during the first 1–2 days of detox. This is normal and resolves quickly. Our doctors monitor every guest’s progress and adjust protocols as needed.
Who is naturopathy treatment suitable for? Is there an age restriction?
Naturopathy is suitable for adults of all ages — from young adults dealing with PCOS, weight issues, or burnout, to middle-aged individuals managing diabetes or hypertension, to seniors seeking gentle support for age-related conditions. Generally, guests are 18 years and above; those aged 16–17 are considered on a case-by-case basis with parental accompaniment and prior medical clearance.
